The headline number of US rigs was up by ten today, but notably, the horizontal rigs fell by two.

Horizontal gas rigs reported five lower, led by Appalachia.

US Hz Gas Rigs 84 (-5)

US Hz Oil Rigs 397 (+4)

US Hz Misc Rigs 0 (-1)

The largest changes by county this week are:

• Karnes Co., TX adding 4 for 7 horizontal rigs

• Martin Co., TX dropping 4 for 18 horizontal rigs
