Baker Hughes’ rig report shows another week of positive gains with horizontal rigs gaining seven. Eddy, Co., NM had the biggest change this week, dropping three rigs for a total of 21 active horizontal rigs. This week the chart below highlights horizontal rig count change in the five primary plays from 2011 through today’s report. The pie chart shows the percentage per week by basin. Notably, the Permian and Eagle Ford erode share from the Williston Basin, followed by the Permian taking additional share from all other basins.
